Shower Enclosure Cleaning
Garrety Glass suggests routine cleaning maintenance on your shower glass enclosure to preserve its original brilliance and clarity.
As beautiful as framed and frameless shower enclosures can look in a bathroom, it takes little more than some soap scum and grime to change their look from teriffic to terrible. To help you keep your showers looking great, follow our expert cleaning tips - one's that we use in our own homes.
Cleaning Glass Shower Doors & Enclosures
One of the first things you can do to avoid soap scum build up on your beautiful glass shower is to prevent it in the first place. Switching from bar soap to liquid soap can drastically reduce the amount of soap scum build up which means you'll have to clean your glass shower doors less often. Although liquid soap costs a little bit more, most homeowners view it as a worthy purchase to maintain a longer-lasting clean shower.
Another very effective tip is to wipe down your glass shower enclosure and shower doors after each use. While some people will do this with a damp rag, we've found that a small squeegy works great for this. Getting in the habit of wiping down the glass after each use will come easy once you see the difference a couple extra seconds makes in keeping your glass clear. To help develop this routine, be sure to keep a squeegy in the shower at all times.
